Lupus, a deadly autoimmune disease, which have been discovered in popular celebrity like Nick Canon and killed one of the Oshadipe twins can now be prevented.
Lupus arises when the immune system mistakenly attacks and totally destroys healthy cells, tissues and organs of the body of the sufferer. It comes along with pains and inflammation. No organ of the body is left out from its attack; even the brain. Attacks on the skin is more pronounced and common.
The disease is more discovered in celebrities because they have the wealth to access more thorough medical examination. So, lupus is not only limited to the wealthy.
A new study have discovered that docosahexaenoic acid - a type of omega-3 which is found in fish oil and some dietary supplements can prevent environmentally induced lupus such crystalline sillica found in concrete.
So don't totally exclude fatty fishes such as tuna (kote), trout, salmon (titus), etc from your diet, or if there is need for that, take fish oil supplements which are readily available and cheap.
No cure for LUPUS yet, only management with early detection which is not available in most African countries especially Nigeria.
